Most expeditions require participants to be at least 18 years old. Exceptions may be made for minors accompanied by parents or legal guardians, subject to specific expedition requirements and parental consent documentation.
Participants must disclose any medical conditions, medications, physical limitations, or dietary restrictions that could affect their expedition experience or safety. Failure to disclose relevant information may result in expedition cancellation without refund.
Submitting an inquiry through our website does not constitute a binding agreement. Expeditions are confirmed only upon receipt of deposit payment and signed participation agreement.
All prices are listed in Canadian dollars and are subject to applicable taxes. Prices include services explicitly listed in expedition descriptions. Additional costs may include personal equipment, travel to meeting points, and optional add-ons.
Cancellation terms vary by expedition type and are detailed in individual booking agreements. Generally, cancellations made more than 60 days before departure receive partial refunds minus administrative fees. Cancellations within 60 days may result in forfeiture of all payments. We recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers cancellation for medical or emergency reasons.
Wilderness activities carry inherent risks including but not limited to: adverse weather conditions, difficult terrain, wildlife encounters, equipment failure, and distance from medical facilities. Participants acknowledge these risks and assume responsibility for their participation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, snug-cliff shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from expedition participation or website use. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific expedition in question.
Participants are responsible for following guide instructions, using provided equipment properly, and behaving in ways that do not endanger themselves or others. Failure to comply with safety protocols may result in removal from the expedition without refund.
All content on this website, including text, photographs, graphics, and design elements, is owned by snug-cliff or used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without explicit written permission.
Expeditions may be photographed or filmed for promotional purposes. By participating, you grant permission for your likeness to be used in marketing materials unless you explicitly opt out in writing before the expedition begins.
We are not liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, extreme weather events, government restrictions, or other force majeure events. In such cases, we will work with participants to reschedule or provide partial refunds as circumstances permit.
Route details, timing, and specific activities may change based on weather, trail conditions, wildlife activity, or safety considerations. Guides have final authority to modify itineraries. Such modifications do not constitute grounds for refunds unless the fundamental nature of the expedition is substantially altered.
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta.
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining terms continue in full force and effect.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Changes become effective upon posting to the website. Continued use of the website following such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
These Terms of Use, together with our Privacy Policy and any signed expedition agreements, constitute the entire agreement between you and snug-cliff regarding website use and expedition participation.
